In November 2018 Ressu's 9th graders saw Romeo and Juliet at the Savoy Theater with help from a grant from Ressu PTA
"A few weeks ago we went to the Savoy Theatre in Helsinki to see Romeo and Juliet with our class and English teacher. We all enjoyed it and thought that the actors and actresses were all very talented.
“ It was a great experience and we are very grateful that we got to see this play.”
The funniest character in our opinion was Mercutio and we thought that the actor who played him was very suitable for the part.
There were only a few props in the play but they were well used. Even though the actors and actresses spoke in a very poetic way we were still able to understand and follow the play.
A big thank you goes to the PTA for funding our wonderful trip to the theater to see Romeo and Juliet. We’d also like to thank our English teacher Riina Käkelä for arranging this for our class."
